Rotary Shaft Seals

Rotary Shaft Seals

Rotary shaft seals provide sealing and wiping functionality for rotating and swiveling movements under low pressure and high velocity. They perform two essential functions: the primary function is to retain the bearing or system lubricant in the system to avoid leakage, and the secondary function is to preclude any contamination of the system by external particles or other environmental impacts. Radial shaft seals typically consist of a metal insert and an elastomer diaphragm with a spring-energised sealing lip.

Parker FlexiCase™ seals for abrasive media and/or shaft runout of 0.500” to 0.010”. Higher load primary ID lip (CEN) and secondary excluder lip (CEE) profiles deliver enhanced fluid and gas retention at speeds to 25 m/s and pressures to 250 psi.

Parker general purpose FlexiCase™ rotary shaft seals with metal case. Single lip (CFN) and secondary excluder lip (CFE) profiles function at speeds to 25 m/s and pressures to 250 psi. Inch and metric sizes in a range of PTFE and metal case options.

Parker's low speed FlexiCase™ rotary shaft seal for abrasive media and/or high shaft runout of 0.010” to 0.020”. PTFE Spring energized primary ID lip and secondary excluder lip (CGE) function at speeds up to 10 m/s and pressures to 125 psi.

Parker FlexiCase™ rotary shaft seal for high pressure, low speed applications requiring redundant, low leakage performance. Dual ID lips and secondary excluder lip (CHE) function at surface speeds to 10 m/s and pressure of 500 psi.

Parker's FlexiCase™ seal for low speed redundant sealing in abrasive media and/or high runout(0.010” to 0.020”) conditions.Spring energized primary lip, springless redundant lip,and excluder lip(CJE) for speeds to 10 m/s and pressures to 125 psi.

Springless double lip Parker oil seals are used for grease retention and light dust and fluid exclusion in no pressure rotary applications. Various OD case designs available to suit application.

Spring-loaded metal case seals for stationary shaft/rotating bore applications are available from Parker. Elastomer lip OD seals against the rotating bore. Varying metal case ID configurations available to suit the application.

Spring loaded single lip Parker oil seals are primarily used for oil or grease retention. Various OD case designs available to suit application.

Metal case rotary shaft seals for high misalignment conditions are designed with a bellowed, spring loaded single lip for oil and grease retention. Various OD case designs are available to suit application.
