Piston Seals

The Ultrathan® piston seal profile KR complements the product range of double-acting piston seals (OE, OK) for installation spaces according to ISO 7425-1 by providing a product which is to be preferentially installed in pressure ranges up to a max. of 300 bar. The seal consists of a sliding ring made of a newly-developed polyurethane material with improved sliding characteristics and an exceptionally high modulus and a preloading element with a rectangular cross-section made of an NBR elastomer.

The Ultrathan® piston seal B7 is a lipped ring with a tight fit along its internal diameter. This seal is used when the physical characteristics of normal or fabric-reinforced elastomers are no longer sufficient.

The double-acting piston seal kit profile OE consists of a PTFE piston sealing ring and an elastomer O-ring as a preloading element.

Profile OE is particularly suited for pistons impinged on both sides in control cylinders, servo-controlled systems, machine tools, and rapid closure and steering cylinders.

Due to the combination of materials used in the sliding ring (PTFE) and the O-ring (elastomer), this product is suitable for a wide range of applications, in particular for aggressive media and/or high temperatures. A comprehensive selection of materials is available for individual application profiles.

The single-acting piston seal kit profile OG consists of a PTFE rod sealing ring and an elastomer O-ring as a preloading element.

The asymmetric cross-section of the sealing ring has been designed for the optimal circulation of trailing lubricant during the stroke in both directions.

Profile OG is particularly suited for pistons impinged on one side in control cylinders, servo-controlled systems, machine tools, and rapid closure cylinders.

The double-acting rod sealing set profile ON consists of a PTFE rod sealing ring and an elastomer O-ring as a preloading element.

Profile ON is particularly suitable for sealing rods in control cylinders, servoassisted equipment, machine tools and in quick acting cylinders.

The material combination of the slipper ring (PTFE) and the O-ring (elastomer) makes this product suitable for a wide range of applications, especially for aggressive media and/or high temperatures. Multiple compounds can alternatively be selected according to the individual application profile.

Friction is kept extremely low thanks to minimal contact with the sealing surface. Support rings or brackets are not required due to the special design.

The piston seal profile C2 complies with the requirements of manufacturers of hydraulic and pneumatic devices for seals that require the smallest possible installation space. Outstanding sealing properties are achieved with the smallest possible profile width and height.

For installation in oil-free pneumatic systems (dry air), we recommend our profile E4, which fits into the same installation space.
